Before School Care (BSC)

Located within Kensington Public School grounds, Before School Care at KPSOOSH is a safe, familiar, purpose-built child-friendly environment for children to relax and have fun before the school day begins.

Daily Schedule

7:15 AM

Arrival & Breakfast

Children can be signed in from 7:15 am. Breakfast is served until 8:30 am, offering a variety of delicious and nutritious options.

8:00 AM

Outdoor Play Opens

Outdoor areas like the green court, play equipment, and sports areas open for free play.

8:45 AM

Transition to Classes

Educators sign children out of care and escort them to their classrooms as needed, ensuring a smooth transition to the school day.

BSC Activities

Each morning, children can participate in planned activities aligned with My Time Our Place Learning Outcomes. These include:

  • Indoor activities like drawing, train sets, and card games
  • Outdoor play in areas such as the green court and big play equipment
  • Sports and creative games like basketball, survival tag, and skipping rope fun

Healthy Breakfast Options

Breakfast is available from 7:15 AM to 8:30 AM every morning. The service offers:

  • A variety of cereals
  • Wholemeal toast
  • Seasonal fruit & yoghurt
  • Eggs, milk, and water
  • Breakfast specials like pancakes, French toast, omelettes, and banana bread (updated weekly)
